As we celebrate the 100th Annapolis Valley Exhibition in 2027, we’re creating a permanent Centennial Wall to honour the people, families, farms, businesses and organizations that have helped make the Exhibition what it is today.
For $100 for our 100th, add a personalized plaque celebrating your AVEX connection — recognize your family or farm, honour a volunteer or exhibitor, remember someone special, celebrate a favourite Exhibition memory, or simply add your name to AVEX history.

Since 1927, the Annapolis Valley Exhibition has brought together farmers, families, competitors, makers, musicians, volunteers and visitors from across Nova Scotia and beyond.
Today, AVEX combines the traditions people have loved for generations — livestock shows, 4-H, horse and ox competitions, agricultural exhibits and the Farm Museum — with live entertainment, motorsports, midway rides, food, family programming and much more.
In 2027, we celebrate 100 years of agriculture, community and memories — while looking ahead to the next century.

Annual General Meeting – November 26, 2026
The Annapolis Valley Exhibition Society (AVES) invites members, supporters and interested community members to attend our 2026 Annual General Meeting on Thursday, November 26 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lawrencetown & District Volunteer Fire Department Fire Hall, 549 Main Street, Lawrencetown. The storm date is December 03.
As we look ahead to the 100th Annapolis Valley Exhibition in 2027, this year’s AGM is an important opportunity to reflect on the past year, hear about plans and priorities for the year ahead, and help shape the future of the Exhibition and Society.

Interested in Joining the AVES Board of Directors?
There’s never been a more exciting time to get involved with AVES. As we prepare to celebrate the Exhibition’s 100th anniversary—and plan for the years beyond it—we are also looking at the long-term future of the organization, including strategic priorities, programming, facilities, community partnerships and the continued role of agriculture at the heart of the Exhibition.
We welcome applications from people who would like to bring their skills, experience, ideas, community connections and enthusiasm to the AVES Board of Directors. You don’t need to be an expert in fairs or agriculture; a strong board benefits from a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and skill sets, along with people who are willing to contribute their time and work collaboratively toward the Society’s mission: Celebrating the Past. Showcasing the Present. Promoting the Future of Agriculture and Life in the Annapolis Valley.
AVES Directors are elected at the Annual General Meeting for a three-year term, with four director positions normally elected each year. Retiring directors are eligible for re-election if nominated.
The Board application is an opportunity to tell us a little about yourself, including your skills, attributes, interests and what you hope to contribute. Applications will be reviewed in confidence by the AVES Nominating Committee.
Applications are open until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2026.
